How to Setup a Mobile Office

Working remotely is awesome and it allows you to determine where you work, when, and the accommodations you have. Mobile offices are becoming more popular each and every day and with the Internet it is becoming easier to work from home or on the road with mobile offices. You may want to create a home office, or a car office, or both to help you work virtually. If you want to include a car office then you will need a car desk installed in your vehicle or a mobile car desk that you can take with you in your own car or someone else's.

The transition to a mobile office can take a little bit of time and organization because you need certain things to help you work properly. But, once you have all the necessities you will love your car office!

First, the most important thing for your mobile office is a laptop computer. You might want a tablet PC, which is mobile as well, if you are an artist or like to write. Regardless, a computer that is lightweight and mobile is essential. Make sure this computer is outfitted with a wireless Internet card so you can pick up the Internet no matter where you are. If you have a home office as well you might want to have an additional screen and a wireless mouse to help you transfer information. You will also find a flash drive, external hard drive, and even a portable mouse are important aspects of your mobile office. The external drive is more important in your home office so you can save important information, but it will make your mobile office more productive. Keep in mind that a long connection cable may be necessary if you are working in an environment that doesn't have wireless. It seems impossible, but there are actually still a lot of places like this around.

Another important aspect of your mobile office is a cell phone and a personal digital assistant that you can synchronize with your laptop and keep all of your information easily accessible and up to date. While you are synchronizing and making life easier make sure that you can access your email account from the web. Most Internet services allow this, just make sure you understand how to do it so you can work mobile. Having your email downloaded to Internet Express or Outlook Express is a great option that will save you time and help you keep track of your information.
